Intramuros, Manila. The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch IV B Director announced today the settlement of a request for assistance (RFA) filed by an OFW from Muntinlupa City.
Ms. Lalaine S. Gabriel, a former OFW received P155,000.00 following the successful resolution of his complaint through SENA. Gabriel was deployed in Cyprus as housemaid with a two-year contract, by Faasi International Corporation. After working for 11 months, she decided to pre-terminate her contract due underpayment of salaries.
Intramuros, Manila. The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch IV B settled a Request For Assistance filed by a former employee claiming unpaid separation pay against a restaurant and bar in Puerto Galera.
Ms. Jesusa B. Dionisio, a former cashier who was employed at Hemmingway’s Bistrot Restaurant and Bar for seven years sought full payment of separation pay.
On September 15, 2016, the new management took over to run the restaurant business headed by Mr. Klaus Huber, the new manager. As part of their agreement, Mr. Wolfgang Martin, the former manager and Mr. Huber will have a 50-50 share in the payment of separation pay of retrenched employees. On the same date, Dionisio received P27, 367.50 or 50% of her separation pay from Mr. Martin.
The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch No. IV B, DOLE Labor Communication Office (LCO) and Palawan Industrial Peace Advocates (PIPA) launched the 5th book corner in MIMAROPA region at the Main Campus of the Palawan State University (PSU), Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
This reference hub will help in raising the level of awareness of students and other researchers on DOLE programs and services. They will also have a wider and easy access to labor and employment information and other reference materials which could broaden their knowledge on labor and employment related concerns.

Silvestre Bello III sa pakikipagtulungan ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno tulad ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), City Government of Puerto Princesa, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Department of Labor and Employment – MIMAROPA (DOLE) , Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Sa pamamagitan ng ganitong hakbang ay mas mapapabilis ang serbisyo para sa mga aplikanteng OFW at hindi na sila magpapabalik-balik at magpapalipat lipat ng opisina para sa mga kinakailangan na mga dokumento.
