RCMB-MIMAROPA facilitates the quick setting up of the LMC in a Manpower Service Agency in Palawan

Bataraza, Palawan- The Branch in collaboration with the DOLE MIMAROPA facilitated the quick formation of Labor Management Committee (LMC) in DCR Construction and Manpower Services. It is the first ever LMC established on a manpower agency in the region.

The one-day orientation on the NCMB and DOLE programs and services paved the way for the setting up of LMC. The said orientation seminar was conducted on August 9, 2018 at Rio Tuba Nickel, Inc. town site, Brgy. Rio Tuba, Bataraza. It was participated in by the union officers, headed by Mr. Michael Ebron, the Union President, the Human Resource Officer and Mr. Donato C. Robles, the owner. The seminar was facilitated by Director Estioco, and Ms. Julia P. Peleo by articulating the topics on the Workplace Conflict Prevention and Settlement and Workplace Cooperation and Partnership, respectively.

NCMB & ORMIPA HOLD OUTREACH PROGRAM FOR ELDERS AND TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro – As part of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB)’s  advocacy to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the branch conducted  an  Outreach and Greening Program on July 25 -26, 2018, in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro.  These activities were conducted in collaboration with the Oriental Mindoro Industrial Peace Advocates (ORMIPA) and local government of Bulalacao

The team was headed by Director Lourdes P.  Estioco and staff – (Julia Peleo, Felix G. Belza Jr. and Renato Fajardo Jr.) together with the officers of ORMIPA, led by its President  Ms. Renita A. Alda.

LAPIS AT PAPEL SA KARUNUNGAN NG MANGYAN

Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro – The Oriental Mindoro Industrial Peace Advocates (ORMIPA) recently conducted their first outreach program in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro.    “Isang karangalan sa amin ang maghatid ng payak na tulong sa ating kapatid na Mangyan”, said Ms. Renita A. Alda, President of ORMIPA. Collective efforts and support of the different companies who extended their help and gave contributions made this worthwhile community service realized.

Distribution of school supplies was initially set on September 12, 2017,  but due to bad weather condition it was re-scheduled on September 25, 2017 at Dangkalan Elementary School in Brgy. San Roque, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro.  More or less 170 students from grades 1 to 6   benefited from  the project.  Aside from pencils,  school supplies like notebooks, erasers, sharpeners, coloring materials, paper pads, face towels and water tumblers were also given away.

LAPIS MO KINABUKASAN KO (PART II)

Puerto Princesa, Palawan – Sa pangalawang pagkakataon, muling namahagi ng gamit pang-eskwela ang LMC asosasyon sa Palawan o ang tinatawag na Palawan Industrial Peace Advocates (PIPA) sa Mababang Paaralan ng Sta. Cruz, Palawan. Tulad ng mensahe sa naunang outreach program, “Sa isang lapis nagsimula tayong mangarap para maabot anuman ang gusto nating maging propesyon: maging guro, abogado, doctor, nars, engineer at iba pa. Kinakailangan lang nating gawin ay pagbutihin ang pag aaral. Gamit ang lapis, matutong magsumikap at patuloy na mangarap upang makamit ang minimithing tagumpay,” ayon kay G. Erwin Galleon, presidente ng PIPA.

Ang pamamahagi ay naganap noong Hulyo 24, 2017 sa naturang paaralan. Umabot sa 153 mag-aaral mula Kinder hanggang Grade 6 ang nabahaginan sa proyektong ito. Maliban sa lapis, na siyang tema ng proyekto, namahagi din ang grupo ng iba pang gamit pang-eskwela tulad ng notebook, papel, pambura, sharpeners, gamit pangkulay at merienda para sa mga bata at guro.

MACHINE OPERATOR RECEIVES RETIREMENT PAY THRU SENA

Intramuros, Manila.  A retired machine operator of a printing press finally received his long awaited retirement pay amounting to PhP 333,405.00 for having served for almost 36 years in the company without the need to face each other at the initial conference set on July 6, 2017.

Overcame by anxiety, sleepless nights,  and the agony of waiting for the release of his awaited retirement pay, Mr. XYZ  sought the assistance of this Office by filing a request for assistance (RFA) under the Single-Entry Approach (SENA) program on June 29, 2017.  XYZ  prayed that his retirement pay be released by his employer the soonest. He started his employment with X  Printing Press since March 1981 as a utility worker, and was promoted as  a machine operator until the time of his retirement.
